Arlie has been serving on the Healthcare District Board for almost six years and has been the Board Chairman the past three years. He was originally appointed to the Board by County Supervisor Judy Cates, and has since been re-elected for an additional term. During his time on the Board, he has been involved with helping the District come out of bankruptcy so that the full tax increment allotted to the District can be used for improving the health and safety of our residents. He was also involved with negotiating a long term lease for some District owned property, which provides the District with additional income of more than $130,000 per year. Perhaps the part he is most proud of is that he has helped bring a medical clinic into town, with plans to build a flagship medical facility in the new business park. He is currently in discussions with that same medical group to open an expanded hours, urgent care style clinic here in town.
Arlie has thoroughly enjoyed his time on the Board and the opportunities to serve our District residents and hopes to continue serving in this capacity in the future.
